Sand Anchor Resources

Read the FAQs below to learn more about the Sand Anchor and how it can securely anchor or boat, PWC, or even seaplane to the beach.

Q. How do I set my Sand Anchor?
Turn the handle of the Sand Anchor clockwise into the sand, dirt, clay or mud. The helix anchor will “screw” securely intothe ground.

Q. How deep should I set my sand anchor into the ground?
You should set your Sand Anchor as deep as you need to go to have a solid hold in the ground.

Q. How long is the Sand Anchor shaft?
The Sand Anchors are 22” long.

Q. Why are there 2 models of Sand Anchor? What’s the difference?
The Standard Sand Anchor is welded as a single piece including the shaft, helix and turning bar. The Sand Anchor Plus has a removeable turning bar and a handy storage bag. Made in two parts, it breaks down for more compact storage. Both models are made of hand welded steel with a durable powder coat to inhibit rust.

Q. Does the Sand Anchor hold better than slide hammer anchors?
Yes, the helix anchor design provides a much stronger hold over simple straight slide hammer/spike anchors.
