Great product.

We 1st used this product at Cabel's at their kids day. We were so impressed we ordered the jumbo pak of backyard bass to use all of the kids events we put on, the next one this Sept. It's a great way to teach kids to cast while having some fun doing it.

We had ages 3-60 playing and they loved it! We’ve had several parents and other Scout leaders ask where to purchase and to borrow it after playing it one time. It was a such a huge hit with the kids and parents that we’re looking at adding a second set.

Pros:
  • Price and Quality
  • Fun!
  • Attractive Colors
Cons:
  • None!
The Back Yard Bass bundle I purchased was an excellent investment. These training tools work both indoors and out! They are high quality plastic that I am sure will give years of use. The youth I work with fell in love with them and had a great time using their newly made can casting rigs to catch fish (in our local library!). Keep up the great work!

We ordered this to use in different ranger led programming. We recently got to use it in the grand opening of a park. It was the hit of all the programs! The kids loved to catch the fish and bring them in. We will be using this for years and years to come.

The only suggestion I would say is to make them more floatable. They do float however if submerged just slightly by the water they tend to begin to sink. Even if no changes are ever made I recommend this product greatly! We got the educators set and I am so glad that we did, best bang for your buck. Thank you!

My high school girls club is an outdoor, adventure, service learning club. They had been taught fishing safety and casting skills using Backyard Bass and shared their knowledge during field day at a local elementary school. Children and adults alike were excited to try their hand at catching the bright colored fish. We needed your fliers as multiple people asked where they could purchase the game. It was fun for all!

The Best Tool For Teaching Casting

Pros:
Cons:
Back Yard Bass is far and away the BEST tool for teaching kids to cast. Kids absolutely love to play the game, either individually or as a group. Once they have learned to cast it is an easy transition to fishing. On days when they can’t fish they have fun practicing casting with Back Yard Bass. The game is both a great teaching tool and a fun pastime, and all around winner.

Annually, Los Hermanos Familia a non profit committed to strengthening families and building community, holds a fishing event that attracts thousands of participants. We use the backyard bass as a way to engage the children and make them more confident in their skills.

We further use the set at community events, and draw many children wanting to learn to fish.

Also, they were in-line with the set we currently have.

Versatile fish for games

Cons:
I've used these as a Physical Education teacher for after-school fishing classes. I play a variation of the baseball game, 500. Place fish at different distances and assign point values(25,50,75,100) for different color fish. Farther distance or fish next to object have higher value. Players take turns and first to 500, wins.
